Saskatchewan ground EMS serves communities with 106 ambulance services, 300+ ambulance units, 1,200 registered First Responders, 2,200+ licensed professionals and covers a geographical land area of 650,000 square kms and serves just over 1 million residents. These practitioners respond to over 181,000 calls a year.
Saskatchewan paramedics can receive recognition nationally and provincially. Consider nominating deserving paramedics today for the Governor General Exemplary Service Awards in EMS (including First Bar and Second Bar), the Saskatchewan Protective Services Medals, and the PSCS Star of Life Medal (Individual and Team) today. The deadline is December 31st for all EMS award nominations.
